Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received a call from Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who expressed Spain’s support for Lebanon and its territorial integrity, and for the decisions of the Lebanese government, especially regarding the ban on Hezbollah’s military activity. He also condemned the attacks on UNIFIL forces, and stressed the need to conduct the necessary investigations in this regard. He added that Spain is committed to supporting and assisting the Lebanese people, and has allocated additional humanitarian aid worth 9 million euros. For his part, President Salam appreciated Spain's support on the humanitarian and political levels, and its contribution to UNIFIL forces, and pointed out that the Israeli incursion into Lebanon under the pretext of establishing a buffer zone or security belt is completely unacceptable, and that Israel must stop its military operations and withdraw from all Lebanese territory.
